We are currently hosting telescopes with a collecting area of m² under the best skies in the world with good seeing over 300 clear nights a year and no light pollution.
Observatorio El Sauce (The Willow Tree Observatory
in Spanish)
hosts telescopes for science, astrophotography, and space
situational awareness since 2015. We offer services of a fully robotic observatory located in the Río Hurtado Valley, in the south of the Atacama desert, sharing one of the best skies in the world with major scientific observatories including Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory (CTIO), Gemini South, and the Vera Rubin Observatory.
We offer a professional and long-term alternative to scientific observatories in Chile for small and mid-sized telescopes. Our team of experts will help you achieve optimal performance without ever needing to travel there. An average of four technical staff members are hosted on site 24/7 for troubleshooting and maintenance during the day and the first half of the night.
